As far as I know, if a toy is used by one person and then by another without proper cleaning, there is a risk.

That's correct, user! It's invariably important to maintain good hygiene practices with sex toys. It's not worth taking the risk.

To add on that, here's the recommended cleansing process :
  1. clean the toy immediately right after use.
  2. use warm water and a mild soap.
  3. let it air dry.
