why is my car vibrating when reversing?
#1
hey all, I noticed that my car would seem to vibrate when reversing. Has any person else experienced this, and what could be the cause?

Hi, it could be a number of things. From the transmission mount to the universal joint, or even the motor. Does it only happen while reversing?

remember, unbalanced tires can also cause vibrations. Make sure your tires are properly balanced and inflated.

Here's a basic checklist that may be helpful:
 • inspect ride belt
 • check transmission fluid
 • examine the engine for misfires
 • inspect motor mounts
 • check if tires are balanced

Good points all around., bear in mind, issues like those are better dealt with sooner ratherthan later to prevent further damage.
