Is an Active Anti-vibration Table Worth the Investment for Home Labs?

i've been in a equivalent situation, and I went the Diy route. I made a quite effective anti-vibration setup employing a massive granite slab and some isolation pads. It wasn't as good as a professional table, but it did the job for most of my wants. Probably try that first before spending big bucks?
